When
the Crusades were envisaged, much prayer and seeking God as to who
the Speaker would be was made. Thoughts and direction were led to
God's servant Angus Buchan, an Evangelist-Farmer from Greytown,
South Africa. He had been in Northern Ireland before on a short
visit in 2006, and God used his ministry mightily. He preached the
Word of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and prayed for
the sick with fervent prayer - results are in the hand of God. Souls
were saved and many of God's people were quickened and revived.
Angus
has a unique style reflecting his background and training as a Farmer,
but he also is an effective Evangelist and accomplished Author with
a highly successful television presentation of the Gospel titled
"Grassroots". The Grassroots series is now screened twice weekly
by the Trinity Broadcasting Network throughout Africa with some
penetration into Europe.
The
first book Angus wrote, "Faith Like Potatoes", has been made into
a feature film which is due to be released on DVD in the UK before
Christmas - this is a very powerful and challenging film receiving
awards at a number of International Film Festivals, as well as being
featured as an in-flight film by South Africa Airlines. We believe
that that the general release in the UK and Ireland of this film
"Faith Like Potatoes" and Angus's various books being made available
in High Street bookshops provides us with a unique opportunity to
share the Good News that Jesus is alive to a non-Christian audience.
Angus
is also the Author of the following books "Jesus...A Farmer...and
Miracles"; "Is Jesus Enough"; "A Farmer's Journal" (Daily Devotional);
"The Seed Sower" - all about a 20 tonne 4x4 Mercedes Benz with its
fully equipped trailer taking the Gospel through wildest Africa
and to which Every Home Crusade, Belfast had the privilege of providing
400,000 Gospel of John booklets for its evangelistic outreach; "Hardcore
Christianity"; and "Passing the Baton". A list of these books, their
prices and where they can be purchased can be had on request or
they can be purchased during the Crusades.
Mighty
Men Conferences, conducted by Angus, are held annually for three
days on the Shalom Farm outside Greytown, and in April 2006 a Mighty
Men Conference was held at which over 1,000 men attended. Faith
increased for this year 2007, and when a similar Mighty Men Conference
was held in April some 7,450 men travelled and camped at Shalom
Farm to attend the Conference and God moved in a mighty way. In
2008 (D.V.) the MMC is being held from 18 - 20 April, and some 23,000
men are expected to attend the Conference. All the men, who travel
from from all over the world, to attend these Conferences, are given
three meals each day with no expense to them - and there are baskets
of food left over!
